Space Invaders: How to Maximize Your Score and Survive Bosses

Modern Space Invaders isn't just random shooting. Every wave has a pattern, every enemy has a priority, and power-ups can multiply your score.

Prioritize by Rows

Upper rows are worth more points. But eliminating them first also slows down the block's descent speed. Start from the top whenever it's safe.

The Mystery UFO

The saucer crossing the top appears approximately every 23 seconds. It's worth between 50 and 300 points depending on timing. Shoot it whenever you can — it's the difference between a good score and a great score.

Shield Management

Your shields degrade from both enemy fire and your own shots. Don't shoot through them unnecessarily. Use them as cover when waves descend and you need to reposition.

Boss Fights

When the boss warning appears, move away from center. Bosses usually attack with radial patterns from screen center. Stay on the sides, shoot, and dodge. Patience beats aggression.

Power-up Combos

Rapid Fire + Triple Shot is the most devastating combination. If you have both active, you can clear a full wave in seconds. The Railgun (purple beam) pierces through multiple enemies — use it for dense groups.
