Mod of the Month – Crysis MechWarrior Living Legends Mod

The fabled MechWarrior series has been dormant for years till last summer when a MechWarrior 5 trailer was released. Battle Tech and Mech fans went into a frenzy and I was salivating for this new sequel. Right after Christmas, the MechWarrior Living Legends Crysis mod was released and gave many gamers a surprise present. Many proclaimed MWLL one of the ideal multiplayer mods ever and I am one of those people. So Crytek and FilePlanet joined the bandwagon and combined forces to promote the new Reinforcement Pack update. Download Crysis MechWarrior Living Legends Mod.

MechWarrior Living Legends mod brings the series to the Cry Engine 2, so it looks all sexy and hot with great special effects and graphics. The visuals are top notch but the gameplay is no slouch. In fact, it is even better than what I remember with MechWarrior 3. The mod only gets better because it gets a Reinforcement Pack this day that adds countless improvements to the mod. The Reinforcement Pack is more than just a patch and adds new vehicles, 2 new Battlemechs and variants, destructible environments, and much more. The gameplay is top notch and will not disappoint because it is even more satisfying then the original MechWarrior games.

If I sound biased it is because my love of Mechs starts when I was a kid. My uncle studied abroad in Japan and would return with remote control robots and VHS tapes of Battle Tech, Akira and Macross. I got a huge Marauder Mech toy like one in this picture as a birthday gift and when I finally got a Pentium PC, one of the first games was MechWarrior 3. It was based on the Battle Tech anime series and was one of the ideal combat sim games available. It was a decade ago but I remember outfitting different mech squads with jet packs, rockets, lasers, gauss cannons, and heatsinks before walking into battle. MechWarrior Living Legends Mod brings back all these wonderful memories for me and makes more great ones. Hope you guys enjoy this mod.
